The Affinity DQ Spey fly rod blank tapers with a very economic stroke, utilizing only minimal applied dominant underhand power. Minimal anchor “touch and go” deliveries typical of classic Scandi shooting head line systems will require utilizing only the top 2/3 of the DQ tapers for maximum performance.
